Broccoli Texture (Photography Up Close)

One of the lessons that our photography students learned is that—although the beautiful view of something in the distance presents itself in a louder fashion—sometimes it is actually more interesting when we slow down, get up to something really close, and take notice of the beauty in the many small details that collectively create the larger picture. Our students applied this concept while on location at gardens, farmer’s markets, and parks. This gallery displays a few of the photographs taken while on these adventures seeking the details of nature.
