Inside Art Classes

Mentorships

Our workshops and mentorship sessions are inclusive. Although we specialize in serving the creative needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, our process works with everyone, and all people are welcome and encouraged to take our programs. Conducted by a professional art teacher on the historic Roycroft campus in East Aurora, NY, either online or in person.

–Note: For in-person mentorships, participants need to be accompanied by a family member or caregiver for the duration of each class

Online Sessions
Each one hour class is conducted by a professional art teacher via Zoom
The cost is $65.00 per class, not including the art supplies
In-Person Sessions
Each one hour class is conducted by a professional art teacher at a studio in the Roycroft Campus Antiques store (37 South Grove Street, East Aurora, NY)
The cost is $75.00 per class, which includes all professional grade art supplies

Discover Mentorship Sessions

Consists of on-going individualized classes, where we work with students in a more intensive setting on both the creative and business aspects of the craft
There are 1-3 students in each session
Students do not need to have any kind of art background, but they must have the desire and willingness to make painting more than just a hobby (See "Our Creative Process")
Students participate in various art critiques and shows along the way, and are given opportunities to sell their work
The overall goals of the sessions are determined by the individual student

Field Trips/Day Trip

Students participate in an art experience in the Castiglia Art Center on the historic Roycroft Campus in East Aurora, NY (21 South Grove St.)
Under the guidance of a professional art teacher, each student will complete an abstract painting that will be shown and discussed in an impromptu art critique
The experience typically lasts for 2-3 hours and is tailored to meet the specific artistic needs of each group
This program is designed for schools and Day Habilitation Programs
The cost is $65.00 per student (minimum of 5 students), which includes all professional grade art supplies
